UTPA's College of Business maintains accreditation

The University of Texas-Pan American’s College of Business Administration has maintained its business accreditation by AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The new La Plaza at Brownsville Multimodal Terminal held its grand opening April 12, showing off a state of the art transit terminal and home of the Brownsville Metro service, complete with restaurants and retail space. Local, state unemployment rates down

The Texas Workforce Commission recently released unemployment numbers for February, with the state percentage dropping 7.1 percent, coming down .2 percent from January. Locally, Hidalgo, Starr and Willacy counties were down as well with a drop of .6, 1.0 and .2 percent, respectively.
