DreamBuilder Give Tools for Business Start-Up

DreamBuilderThe Women’s Business Center of Cameron County and the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce are now accepting applications from those interested in starting a business for its DreamBuilder Academy. The 12-module course is designed specifically for women (although anyone can participate) and creates a step-by-step framework for starting a business.

The DreamBuilder format helps participants realize if they should start a business, as well as understand a business plan. Costs with starting a new business of discussion, as well as laws, regulations and licenses.

Modules begin May 21 and are held from 5:30-7:30 pm. at WorkPub Cowork, 847 E. Elizabeth Street in Brownsville. Each module is led by a professional business advisor, discussing the above topics, as well as marketing, pricing and management. At the end of the program, students have a completed business plan and receive a certificate of completion.

Future modules are May 23, May 30, and throughout June on the 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25 and 27. The modules conclude on July 2.

Registration for all 12 modules is $120, and applications are required.
