South Texas College will soon offer an online program for small businesses seeking to increase their presence on social media. “Instagram Brand Worthy Basics” starts Feb. 26 and will teach small businesses how to increase their fan base or followers on the social media site.
The new eight-class program is an offering from the college’s Continuing Professional Workforce Education. Public relations guru Giselle Mascarenhas will lead the Instagram course.
“Every small business, every person who does any transaction has to have a footprint on Instagram to be able to grow their business. We train individuals on how to develop this in-house, which is extremely effective and efficient,” Mascarenhas said. “We have been consulting and doing one on one workshops for the realty business and mortgage business and we have seen such incredible success with people understanding how to brand on Instagram.”
The cost is $1,700 for the full course. However, participants can take individual courses for advanced instruction. Approximate cost per course is $299.
