RGV teens ages 13-18 are invited to participate in Earth Optimism at IMAS Camp Dec. 28-31. Participants will meet like-minded teens, and discuss global conservation and sustainability. They will also create a short video to promote practices for a sustainable future.

Participating teens will receive filming equipment, software and laptops to complete their video project. Videos will be entered into a global competition.

The in-person camp will take place at the museum in a small group of less than 10 people. Masks are a requirement and there is implementation of safe social distancing measures. Participants will not share any equipment. A final workshop will take place on Jan. 4 for teens to submit their video projects.

Participants must bring their own lunch/snacks on the Dec. 28-30. Lunch will be provided on Dec. 31. There is no cost to attend but due to registration limits, registration is a requirement.

The camp takes place daily from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. with early drop-off beginning at 8:30 a.m. Pickup runs until 3:30 p.m.

A virtual option is also available Jan. 4 from 4-5 p.m.
