Boots to Business Reboot Aids Veterans

Boots to Business Reboot takes place Feb. 22 at the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, providing aid to veterans as small business owners and entrepreneurs.

The program takes place from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., providing an overview of business ownership as a career vocation. Additionally, veterans receive an outline and knowledge on the components of a business plan and a practical exercise in opportunity recognition. An introduction to available public and private sector resources is also available.

The two-step process includes:

1. Introduction to Entrepreneurship course eligible to veterans of all eras and service members (including members of the National Guard and Reserve), as well as spouses. This course is instructed by SBA and its partners who are skilled business advisors.

2. Online follow-on courses instructed by a consortium of both professors and skilled business advisors from the SBA Network. For those who have already attended an in-person Boots to Business or Reboot class, they may sign up for follow-on courses online.

The RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is located at 801 East Fern Avenue #163, McAllen. The program takes place in the large conference room.
