DreamBuilder Academy Sets Framework for Women

DreamBuilder AcademyThe Women’s Business Center of Cameron County and the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce are currently accepting applications for DreamBuilder Academy. The 12-module program is a step-by-step framework for starting a business. Throughout the program, participants learn if they should start a business and what a business plan is as well as how much it costs to start a business.

Facilitated by small business consultant Luis Urquieta, DreamBuilder is designed specifically for women although anyone may participate. At the end of the program, students have a complete business plan and receive a certificate of completion.

Modules begin Sept. 10 and take place from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce, 1600 University Blvd.

Starting Your Dream – Sept. 10
Exploring Your Dream – Sept. 12
Planning Your Dream – Sept. 17
Making Your Dream – Sept. 19
Marketing Your Dream – Sept. 24
Pricing Your Dream – Sept. 26
Selling Your Dream – Oct. 1
Managing Your Dream – Oct. 3
Profiting From Your Dream – Oct. 8
Keeping Track of Your Dream – Oct. 10
Funding Your Dream – Oct. 15
Formalizing & Turning Your Dream Into a Reality – Oct. 17

An application is required for DreamBuilder Academy, as well as a registration fee of $120 for all 12 courses.
