The 2019 Pharr International Trucking Expo takes place Sept. 21, offering the public free access to services, employment, products, prizes and health screenings.

Companies from both Mexico and the United States will be offering their services, products and jobs, as well as financing for the purchase of trucks, parts and equipment. The event also features a live DJ, truck contest and more.

“Trucking is a vital industry to our economy, international trade and the transportation of products to the rest of the nation, including to our neighbors in Mexico and Canada,” said Pharr Mayor Ambrosio Hernandez. “We are proud to recognize all our trucking industry partners and are thrilled to once again welcome industry leaders to Pharr as they convene to network, learn about new trucking products, services and transportation solutions, among many other exciting opportunities.”

The Pharr International Trucking Expo takes place from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Pharr Events Center, 3000 N. Cage Blvd.

Before the expo kicks off, there will be a free Basic Weight Enforcement Workshop from 8-10 a.m. Guest speaker for the workshop is Orlando Barrera. Barrera is a sergeant with the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Highway Patrol Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division. Those desiring to attend the workshop should RSVP to 956-402-4660.
