Lemonade Day McAllen is currently asking local businesses to step up in being a location for lemonade stands May 12.
Businesses located in the city should be open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. They must be able to provide a restroom to participants. Businesses must also agree to open their locations to at least two stands. Young entrepreneurs set up their stand and promote their lemonade themselves.
Local businesses may also participate by providing gifts for “Entrepreneur of the Year” and the “Best Stand Contest” winners.
McAllen Lemonade Day is a free community-wide educational program teaches youth the necessary entrepreneurial skills to start, own and operate their own business – a lemonade stand. Its mission is to help today’s youth become the business leaders, social advocates, community volunteers and forward-thinking citizens of tomorrow … one lemonade stand at a time.
