SUMMARY:Three Families of Quinta Mazatlan History Tour
DESCRIPTION:Special guest Victor De Leon will be at Quinta Mazatlán on Sept. 12 to further educate patrons on the history of Quinta Mazatlán. Hear about the tales of the families that built and lived at Quinta Mazatlán for a total of 60 years before the City of McAllen purchased the estate and opened it in 2006 as a mansion with a mission. \nLocal resident De Leon was a lifelong educator in local school districts. After retiring from teaching\, he began a second career at Quinta Mazatlán as an environmental education specialist. In addition to teaching\, he enjoys researching the robust history of the previous families that owned Quinta Mazatlán and sharing those stories with guests during guided history tours of the mansion. \nDiscover how this massive structure was built from adobe and the secrets to its longevity. This program is free with general park admission. \nFor more information\, call Quinta Mazatlán or follow on social media.
