South Texas College’s Regional Center for Public Safety Excellence hosts its first open house March 5. From 5:30-7 p.m., the public may tour the facilities, as well as watch demonstrations of driving and firearm simulators. Attendees will also get a look at the campuses state-of-the-art equipment.
The STC Regional Center for Public Safety Excellence is the first border community college in the nation to establish integrative training for local, state and federal professionals in law enforcement and public safety. It also includes fire safety and homeland security along with the US/Mexico border.
The open house is a part of Innovative Tech Week at STC which gives students the opportunity to discover the new possibilities of careers in technology.
