Weslaco Chamber Award Nominations Open

The Weslaco Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its Man, Woman and Business of the Year awards, along with its Lifetime Achievement Award. Winners will be recognized at the chamber’s annual meeting and awards luncheon Nov. 2.

Those nominated or Man or Woman of the Year should give time and efforts to worthy causes in the community. The value of the contribution must not be as a result of political ties. This includes elected officials as well as those currently in a political race.

Business of the Year recognizes one Weslaco business that also unselfishly gives to the community. Lastly, the Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated both exceptional business achievement and outstanding commitment to Weslaco’s business community over a sustained period of time.

Nomination forms as well as full guidelines are available online. All nominations are due by 5 p.m. Oct. 19.

The awards luncheon takes place at noon at Knapp Conference Center. Individual event tickets are $25. Table sponsorships are also available. Attendees are asked to RSVP by Oct. 26.

For more information or for reservations, call the Weslaco Chamber at 956-968-2102.
