VTX1 Expands Service With Acquisition

VTX1VTX1 Companies has acquired TISD Inc., a wireless internet service provider headquartered in Victoria, Texas. TISD’s service area consists of more than 3,000  square miles with a subscriber base of 9,900 customers. The acquisition increases VTX1’s existing subscriber count to approximately 34,000 subscribers in the South Texas Region. This elevates them to become one of the largest independently-owned internet service providers in Texas.

“TISD is happy and excited to be joining the VTX1 family,” said Chief  Executive Officer of TISD Diann Cumberland. “We look forward to working together.”

VTX1 Companies’s acquisition portfolio also includes other recent acquisitions in the Seguin and San Antonio areas. This particular one will help extend their expansion from the Rio Grande Valley into an increasingly northerly footprint near the Gulf Coast.

VTX1’s goal is to bring connectivity to as many communities as possible in both rural and urban areas, connecting them to the world for school, work and play. Both VTX1 and TISD share the same passion of bringing connectivity to rural communities. In addition to the urban areas they serve, they are working together to be able to continue that expansion.

“Our joint vision is to continue to expand the number of people to whom we can provide exceptional  broadband services,” said Dave Osborn, CEO of VTX1 Companies. “An additional advantage to uniting with TISD is it will enable both organizations to capitalize  on economies of scale which neither could have achieved separately. We are looking forward to scaling even  greater heights together.”
