Passengers at Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport now have more non-stop flight options to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport with the addition of four daily flights from American Airlines. In addition, United Airlines has added more flights between Brownsville and Houston’s Intercontinental Airport as of May 5.
“Each flight is responsible for more than 200 permanent jobs, in excess of $300,000 in sales tax revenue, and an overall economic impact of 20 million dollars to Brownsville’s catchment area,” said Brownsville Acting Director of Aviation Sesha Vorrey. The catchment area includes cities and towns from Matamoros to Willacy County.
Brownsville‘s flight schedule begins each day with a 5:15 AM departure to Houston on United Airlines and ends with a midnight arrival from DFW on American Airlines. Complete schedules and real time flights status can be found on the Airport’s website at www.flybrownsville.com.
