Veterans of all eras (service-members, including members of the National Guard and Reserves) and their spouses are invited to Boots to Business Reboot, a free two-day entrepreneur training program June 29 in Pharr.
The two-step training program provides participants an overview of business ownership as a career vocation. Participants also gain knowledge of the components of a business plan, as well as a practical exercise in opportunity recognition. In addition, participants gain a valuable introduction to available public and private sector resources.
Step one of the program is the Introduction to Entrepreneurship course under the instruction of business advisors and the SBA.
Step two is one of the online follow-on courses under the instruction of professors and skilled business advisors from the SBA Network. Those who have attended Boots to Business Reboot in the past may sign up for one of the B2B follow-on courses online. Registration is also available online.
Boots to Business Reboot takes place from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Pharr Memorial Library’s North Star Room. The library is located at 121 E. Cherokee.
