Veteran entrepreneur training comes to Harlingen

Boots to Business RebootBoots to Business caters to veterans

Boots to Business Reboot is coming to Harlingen June 29-30. The free two-day event is a veteran entrepreneur training program for both veterans of all eras and their spouses. This includes service-members as well as members of the National Guard and Reserves.

The SBA Lower Rio Grande Valley District Office hosts the event that provides participants an overview of business ownership as a career vocation. The program also offers an outline and knowledge on the components of a business plan, as well as a practical exercise in opportunity recognition. An introduction to available public and private sector resources is also on the agenda.

The training has two courses, Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Foundations of Entrepreneurship. The first course is instructed by SBA and its partners, who are skilled business advisers. The second course is led by a consortium of professors and skilled business advisers from the SBA Network.

Registration is online or can be completed by contacting Reynaldo D. Vasquez at 956-427-8533 x300 or boot-to-business@sba.gov.
