Operating employee benefit plans addressed
Beginning March 14, the Small Business Administration hosts three webinars in “Getting It Right – Know Your Fiduciary.” The first webinar addresses retirement and health plan sponsors.
Operating an employee benefit plan can be challenging. This is true for small and medium sized employers with limited time, resources, and access to professional help with benefit programs. The sessions were created for employers and service providers. The goal is to increase awareness and understanding about basic fiduciary responsibilities when operating a retirement or health benefit plan in accordance with the provisions of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
Employers and providers can register for individual or all sessions, as follows:
Basic fiduciary responsibilities when operating an employer-sponsored plan and ERISA’s prohibited transactions provisions and exemptions – March 14, 1 p.m. – Register online.
ERISA’s reporting and disclosure provisions for employer-sponsored plans and the Department of Labor’s voluntary correction programs for retirement plans – March 16, 1 p.m. – Register online.
Basic fiduciary responsibilities when operating an employer-sponsored group health plan, ERISA’s reporting and disclosure provisions, and Qualified Medical Child Support Orders – March 21, 2017, 1 p.m. – Register online.
