U.S. News & World Report announced yesterday (Jan. 10) that The University of Texas at Brownsville’s College of Education is one of the publication’s top 15 programs in the nation for its master’s degree online program in Educational Technology. The publication categorized the program in it’s Student Services and Instructional Technology category.
UTB’s program is one of four universities from Texas in the top 15 in the nation, ranking 14 out of 151 U.S. institutions of higher education for 2012. The program is delivered full online and personalized to the needs of the profession and the college’s students.
This is the first time U.S. News & World Report has conducted a study to nationally rank online programs in business, computer information technology, education, engineering and nursing. The top ranked school in the same category as UTB was Syracuse University.
The announcement of the national rankings broke as the College of Education prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary at Jan. 13 at 11 a.m. on the second floor tower of the Education and Business Complex on University Blvd. The celebration is open to the public.
