The start of the 2020-2021 school year may look very different but many students must still purchase school supplies. The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce made the decision to help parents alleviate this stress. Distribution of the supplies took place at the club on Aug. 29.
“Many citizens have been displaced from their jobs and may be struggling financially right now,” said Ronnie Larralde, chamber executive director. “This drive will help those who are in need.”
This year’s donors are Kumon of Edinburg and Tom Brownmiller of JP & Associates Realtors. Also making donations from Edinburg were Best Western Plus and Towneplace Suites by Marriott.
