DESCRIPTION:The National Butterfly Center hosts its free Texas Butterfly Festival Community Day Oct. 30 with activities\, vendors and exhibits. \nActivities include make your own Banana Brew\, ‘Butterfly U’ for Young Naturalists and ‘Wild Things’ Arts & Crafts. Attendees can also Hunt the Hackberry Trail\, Pin the Tail on the Swallowtail\, and climb all over our ‘Hungry Caterpillar’ playscape. \nVendors and exhibits will set up in the Visitor’s Pavilion and in the gardens for all to enjoy the peak of butterfly season in South Texas. \nAbout The National Butterfly Center\nEach year\, the National Butterfly Center provides engaging environmental education programs to thousands of children in the Lower Rio Grande Valley.
