TSC Unveils New ITECC Training Facilities

Grant to Create More Than 300 Jobs in Mission

The Mission Economic Development Corporation recently received a $3 million grant to aid in the improvement of the city’s infrastructure. These improvements will protect the city against future natural disasters and strengthen areas that will house manufacturing operations. A groundbreaking ceremony took place recently at the Linn-San Manuel Veterans Park in partnership with the Edinburg CISD. Brownsville Navigation District Reduces Tax Rate

The Brownsville Navigation District is lowering the overall tax rate for property owners living within the district effective Oct. 1. The measure comes after unanimous approval at a regular Board of Commissioners meeting Sept. 9. The 2020 property tax rate for the BND will be at $.029778 per $100 valuation.
