Aaron Watson To Headline Texas Cook’Em

Aaron WatsonTexas Cook’Em High Steaks returns June 30 to July 1 and will feature country music star Aaron Watson as its headliner. Watson will perform on June 30.

On July 1, Texas Cook’Em High Steaks will feature two cover bands, the Fooz Fighters, a tribute to the Foo Fighters, and No Duh, a tribute to No Doubt.

The grounds of Ebony Hills Golf Course serve as the festival’s location, also featuring a wide range of attractions including a kids fun zone, food and craft vendors, and more. The firework show will light up the night sky on July 1, while the Freedom SkyDive Jump will showcase skydivers who will fly over the event grounds with an American flag to celebrate the Independence Day weekend.

BBQ enthusiasts from around the country will also gather to showcase their skills and compete for top honors as the 2023 BBQ Champion. Categories include chicken, ribs, brisket and rib eye steak. Texas Cook’Em High Steaks will offer the grand champion a ticket to the 2024 American Royal, the world’s biggest championship bbq cook-off, as well as a $25,000 purse.

“We’re thrilled to be back for another year of amazing music, delicious food, and exciting attractions,” said Executive Director Ronnie Larralde. “We can’t wait to welcome competitors from around the country to Edinburg for this one-of-a-kind event.”
