DHR Health Brownsville invites the community to take charge of their health and celebrate the season in a healthy way with their first ever Fall Fest and Health Fair on Oct. 25. The 8 a.m.-to-noon event takes place at the DHR Health Brownsville Hospital at 4750 North Expressway 77.
The free, family-friendly event will provide a range of activities for children, including a costume contest and the Brownsville Police Department’s fingerprinting services.
For adults, there will be a variety of free health screenings, as well as have the opportunity to speak one-to-one with medical physicians and other healthcare specialists of DHR Health Brownsville.
“We hope to see everyone at the Fall Fest and Health Fair at our hospital,” said Aida Coronado, DHR Health Brownsville executive vice president and chief operating officer. “Our goal at DHR Health Brownsville is to make health care accessible while creating opportunities for families to connect with our providers in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.”
Event attendees can participate in:
- Free health screenings such as hernia, heart and BMI screenings; blood pressure checks and liver scans (fasting must be done four hours prior to exam).
- Meet and greet opportunities with DHR Health Brownsville physicians, along with the hospital care team and specialists.
- Wellness education booths that will offer tips on preventive care and nutrition.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early for screenings and activities. No registration is required.
