The 16th annual 2022 Fiesta de Palmas takes place Oct. 21-23 at the McAllen Convention Center and organizers are promising the biggest Fiesta yet. The event features a hefty line up of live music, carnival rides, diverse foods and interactive activities for the kids.
More than 60,000 people are expected to attend and enjoy attractions for all ages, including the Voladores de Papantla, Children’s Interactive activities, like Dinosaur George and Into the Wild, will feature live animals. Families will also be able to take photos at the pumpkin patch and pick out their perfect pumpkin to take home. The giant ferris wheel and other rides will highlight Fiesta’s Grand Carnival.
Some of the region’s top artisans will offer handmade crafts, clothing and one-of-a-kind finds at the Artisan Mercado. Additionally, more than 20 different food vendors will offer their cuisine at the Fiesta Food Park. Returning this year, is the Fiesta de Palmas Ofrenda which will continue to honor loved ones who have passed.
The evenings will end with nightly fireworks extravaganzas.
Live Entertainment
Fiesta de Palmas will be honoring Nano Ramirez’s 50th anniversary of bringing families together from across the Rio Grande Valley, Mexico and beyond to enjoy world-class live entertainment.
The Legendary Concert Series kicks off Oct. 21 with Country Night. The lineup includes Moe Bandly-Joe Stampley, Good Ole Boys, John Conlee, Pat Green and Easton Corbin.
Tejano Saturday Night on Oct. 22 will include special guest and MC Carlos Guzman, Jamie De Anda, Grupo Zereno, David Lee Garza y Los Musicales, Latin Breed and Ruben Ramos.
Rock out on Oct. 23 with tribute bands for Deftones, Iron Maiden, Megadeath, Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, Slipknot and Whisky D.
