The City of Harlingen, Harlingen EDC, and Workforce Solutions Cameron host the fourth Workforce Wednesday Job Fair Feb. 9. The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Casa de Amistad, 1204 Fair Park Blvd., Harlingen.
The job fair series began in August 2021, hosting dozens of employers giving job seekers an opportunity to connect to thousands of job openings across the region.
“These events are placing people back into the workforce and we are pleased to say that our December event had the most on-site hires of any previous Workforce Wednesday event,” Raudel Garza, Harlingen EDC CEO, said. “This series of job fairs was created out of a need to fill job openings our employers had, and these events are helping bring employers and job seekers together.”
Job seekers can expect to find job openings in a variety of industries including healthcare and law enforcement. Among the job openings are also those in education, service and hospitality, skills and technical trade.
