The McAllen Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 68th annual ‘Man & Woman of the Year’ Awards.

Since 1955, the McAllen Chamber of Commerce has been honoring remarkable individuals who have made a substantial contribution to the City of McAllen through their exceptional service and volunteerism. Winners will be recognized during the ‘Man & Woman of the Year’ Awards that will take place from 6:30-10 p.m. on Nov. 2 at Embassy Suites by Hilton McAllen.

“This event shines a spotlight on community members who give back with their time and efforts to make our city a better place to work and live,” said Vice President of Membership Services Blanca Cardenas. “These honorees will be celebrated for their acts of kindness, unwavering commitment to serving others, and their initiatives that have positively impacted our community.”

Individuals may nominate on someone’s behalf, or they may nominate themselves. Deadline to apply is Sept. 1.

The Man & Woman of the Year Nominations Committee, comprised of community leaders, will review all nominations.
