The Pharr EDC Foundation, in partnership with the Pharr Economic Development Corporation and the City of Pharr, is currently accepting applications from eligible students for the 2024-2025 Pharr EDC Foundation Scholarship.
Applications are available online with a submission deadline of March 14 by 5 p.m.
“The Pharr EDC Foundation is dedicated to investing in the future of our students by providing financial assistance for higher education,” said Victor Perez, president of the Pharr EDC Foundation and president/CEO of the Pharr EDC.
“This scholarship is designed to help students pursue their goals, whether through a college degree or a trade school certification,” he continued. “Our goal is to ensure that every student has an equal opportunity to succeed, no matter their chosen career path.”
To apply, students must meet the following criteria:
- Reside in the City of Pharr or attend school in Pharr
- Be a current high school senior graduating in the 2024-2025 academic year
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Be enrolled as a full-time student in a qualifying post-secondary institution
- Complete at least 15 hours of community service or an internship in Pharr, TX
- Submit a completed application, personal statement/essay and all required documents by March 14 at 5 p.m.
A selection committee will review all applications, and recipients will be notified once final decisions are made. Scholarship funds can be used toward tuition, books, supplies and other educational expenses.
