Quinta Mazatlán invites the public to explore and share connections with nature through the writing class: Exploring Nature Writing: Spirituality of Trees on April 29. Evaluate relationships with the natural world, engage in stories, learn new creative tools to enhance writing, and explore techniques to tune in to the world around us before imaginations are set off to play.

Attendees will explore native trees within the thorn forest by engaging their olfactory, vision and skin senses as a means of “place-seeking.” By learning how trees function and communicate through sense-experience of their own, we can appreciate the like value of communication, community and being of another species. This experience offers an invitation to connect with oneself, people and species around us. It emphasizes the interconnectivity of our world and the value which comes through the approach of writing and story as not only a form of expression but as a form of Stewardship.
