OSHA Safety & Health For Texas Employers

SBA’s Lower Rio Grande Valley District Office hosts “OSHA Safety & Health For Texas Employers” on July 21 about OSHA obligations, reporting and more.
Using a no-cost consultation service largely funded by OSHA, employers can find out about potential hazards at their worksites, improve their safety and health programs, and even qualify for a one-year exemption from routine OSHA inspections. Primarily targeted for smaller businesses, this safety and health consultation program is completely separate from the OSHA inspection effort. In addition, no citations are issued or penalties proposed.
The Occupational Safety Consultation program is a free and confidential service available to private sector Texas employers through the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation. OSHCON’s professional safety and health consultants, across the state, are available to help employers understand OSHA rules and identify and eliminate occupation hazards in their workplace.
