The ServSafe Food Managers Certification on Oct. 18-19 provides the training needed to meet SPI City Ordinances. Certification classes take place once a year and are good for five years. This is a two-day class offered in both English and Spanish, with the test administered on the second day.

Registration is $200 for South Padre Island Chamber of Commerce members, $225 for prospective members. Registration includes two days of classes, state exam and lunch on Tuesday. Those wishing to keep the instruction book may pay an additional $40 fee.

The English class takes place at 321 Padre Blvd., while the Spanish class is at 610 Padre Blvd.
