Springtime means an opportunity to keep expanding the SPI Birding, Nature Center & Alligator Sanctuary‘s habitats. Lend the staff a hand March 12 as they plant native trees, shrubs and nectar plants in effort to get the grounds in shape to benefit the upcoming spring bird and Monarch migration.

The center has some shovels, garden tools and gloves, but volunteers bringing their own is helpful.

Volunteers who stay for two hours receive free admission to the center for the day.
