The Beacon State Fund, in partnership with the Governor’s Commission for Women, hosts the Women-Owned Small Business Pitch Competition June 1. Texas women-owned small businesses may apply, explaining how their businesses pivoted in uncertain times of the pandemic.

To qualify for the pitch competition, a business must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Is at least 51-percent owned, controlled, operated and managed by a woman or women.
• Made $1,000,000 or less in revenue in 2020.
• Employed 15 or less in 2020.
• Be registered in the State of Texas.
• Have operated for more than 12 months.
