The 10th Annual Summer Causeway Run on Sept. 13 is your once-a-year opportunity to experience the breathtaking Queen Isabella Causeway on foot — with the Gulf breeze in your hair, the sunrise on the horizon and miles of stunning coastal views. The Laguna Madre VetFest on Aug. 28 brings together veterans, active-duty military and their families who live in Port Isabel, South Padre Island, Laguna Heights and Laguna Vista to network with one another and to learn about what resources are available to them. This event provides beneficial information from community partners, including commercial, non-profit and government entities. Free admission for veterans, active-duty military and families.  Free food and live music.

The 41st Annual Causeway Run takes place April 12 for everyone from seasoned runners or those just looking for a fun way to stay active. All 5K and 10K participants will have the opportunity to run/walk over the Queen Isabella Causeway. Group discounts are available for teams of 10 or more. Register online.
