Hope Family Health Center Opens In Mid-Valley

HOPE Mid-Valley Clinic The Hope Family Health Center has expanded into to the Mid-Valley with the opening of the HOPE Mid-Valley Clinic in Weslaco on Jan. 23. HOPE offers free counseling services to the low-income, uninsured people in the Rio Grande Valley.

HOPE’s counseling services treat depression, anxiety, trauma and grief. The center is possible with the help of the Knapp Community Care Foundation, which makes grant distributions to fund nonprofit organizations that impact, improve and sustain the long-term health of residents in the community. Since 2014, the foundation has provided more than $47 million in grant funding to partner organizations.

Community HOPE Projects Inc, doing business as Hope Family Health Center, is a 501(C)3 not for profit organization providing primary medical, counseling, integrated behavioral health, peer support services, case management and wellness programs to the uninsured living in the Valley.

Since 2019, HOPE has been able to provide 35,373 medical, laboratory and counseling services to 2,979 unduplicated individuals. According to a press release from HOPE, the opening of the new center will enable them “to better fulfill our vision to strengthen families, foster personal dignity and empower individuals to take responsibility for his or her own well being.”
