EDC Sells Interest in TSTC University Center

The Harlingen Economic Development Corporation has sold its interest in the University Center building on the Texas State Technical College for $4.4 million. The 38,000-square-foot building first opened its doors in August 2011. Texas State Technical College, in partnership with Valley Metro, recently began a Professional Bus Driver Training course to help fill a regional need. TWC Grant Funds Medical Training

The Workforce Development and Continuing Education department at Texas State Technical College, in partnership with Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, is the recipient of a Skills Development Fund grant for customized job training. The $301,238 Texas Workforce Commission grant currently provides technical skills training for 155 Valley Baptist Medical Center employees.
