The International Museum of Art & Science invites families and residents of Mission, Alton and surrounding communities in Hidalgo County Precinct 3 to partake in a day of learning and connection at the Veterans Memorial Pavilion in Mission.

The event, “Beyond the Exhibits: Outreach at the Pavilion,” will take place on Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature interactive activities for all ages. The event includes planetarium presentations, close-up insect talks, hands-on STEAM activities and more.

This family-friendly gathering is supported by Hidalgo County and is free and open to the public, offering a unique opportunity for residents of Precinct 3 and beyond to connect with the cultural and educational resources of the Rio Grande Valley.

Presented in collaboration with the National Butterfly Center, Museum of South Texas History and the Mission Historical Museum, this special program highlights the shared mission of local organizations to engage families in science, history and nature.
