
Touted as “the greatest car show in South Texas,” the McAllen International Carfest is back at the McAllen Convention Center Feb. 3-5. The festival has more than 200 vehicles representing 96 different categories of dream cars. Attendees will see rare muscle cars, classics, imports, concept cars, hot rods, race cars and more.
Guests of all ages have the opportunities to experience a Lego racing derby, Greenpower USA racing, R/C drag racing, and photo opportunities with celebrity cars. Meet and greets with superheroes is also on the schedule, as well as a swap meet to sell, buy and swap, and a Texas Tops Showcase. Food and shopping includes food trucks, a local market and a beer garden with live music. A full schedule is available on the McAllen International Carfest website.
Throughout its 13 years, McAllen Carfest has raised more than $100,000 for nonprofit organizations such as Make-A-Wish Foundation and Capable Kids.
McAllen Carfest welcomes children ages 12 and under free of charge. Admission for students ages 13-18, seniors over 60 and military/first responders with valid ID is $12. Regular adult admission is $15.
