Los Pinos Hardware Helps Local Cancer Patients

Los Pinos HardwareFor the third consecutive year, Los Pinos Hardware is giving a portion of its October sales to the Renaissance Cancer Foundation in support of breast cancer awareness. Since their campaign’s inception, Los Pinos Hardware has raised over $30,000 for the Edinburg-based charity.

The Renaissance Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization who, since 2008, has provided financial assistance to underserved cancer patients in the Rio Grande Valley.

“Once again we are deeply appreciative of the Leal family and their customers,” said Evelyn Sáenz, executive director of the Renaissance Cancer Foundation. “Our life-saving work depends entirely on the generosity and outstanding support of businesses and individuals in our community. Thank you for helping us make a difference!”

All seven Los Pinos Hardware across Hidalgo and Starr counties are participating in the initiative. As a family-owned business specializing in lumber and building materials, the store has pledged to raise more funds each year to further their impact.

“We take great pride in supporting the Renaissance Cancer Foundation and their vital efforts to help local cancer patients,” said Mateo Leal, owner and founder of Los Pinos Hardware. “Our mission has always been to uplift our community, whether in health or in times of need.”
