DHR Health hosts its annual “Circle of Care” Caregivers Conference on Nov. 18, offering valuable resources, support and empowerment to caregivers from across the Rio Grande Valley. DHR Health hosts the event in the month of November every year in honor of National Family Caregivers Month, and offers an opportunity to raise awareness of the challenges faced by caregivers.
The “Circle of Care” Caregivers Conference has been a longstanding initiative of DHR Health, born from the leadership of Dr. Saroja Viswamitra, DHR CEO and Health Director of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
“Our vision was to create a platform that empowers local caregivers within the community and offers them the support they deserve,” said Viswamitra. “The ‘Circle of Care’ Caregivers Conference is a testament to DHR Health’s commitment to the well-being of the community, providing caregivers with the tools and knowledge they need to continue their essential work.”
The conference will take place from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance, located at 118 Paseo Del Prado. The conference is free of charge and open to all caregivers. As seating is limited, interested participants should register as soon as possible. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
This year’s conference will feature a comprehensive program, including interactive workshops, educational seminars, and information on local services and resources available to caregivers.
