The Boys & Girls Club of McAllen, Visit McAllen, McAllen Parks & Recreation, PONY and the McAllen Chamber of Commerce will hold a joint press conference Jan. 18, announcing the return of the PONY International Softball World Series to McAllen in July. 

The Boys & Girls Club of McAllen has a long-standing relationship with Visit McAllen, McAllen Parks & Recreation, PONY and McAllen Chamber of Commerce through collaboration efforts in youth and community development. This will be the second consecutive year McAllen will host the series. 

The four-day tournament is expected to draw over 120 different teams from the United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Philippines and other international teams pending. The tournament will bring 3,000 room nights with an economic impact of $1.7 million for McAllen.
