“Safety is universal, and safety culture is something that’s hard to build and easy to lose,” said Marlon Suarez Garcia, senior manager-Line Stations Safety and Regulatory Compliance for United Airlines. “Safety culture is a feeling — and you can feel it here at MFE. The AGI team has demonstrated a strong commitment to upholding that standard and this award reflects just that.”

United Airlines’ Safety Excellence program evaluated MFE’s worksite, hazard prevention and control, leadership’s commitment to safety, employee involvement with safety culture, and safety training and promotion.

“Safety for our travelers, our team and our partners are different aspects of the same mission. Safety is paramount and always a priority for our team at MFE,” said Jeremy Santoscoy, director of Aviation, City of McAllen. “We congratulate the AGI team for earning United Airlines’ Gold Safety Excellence Award. Their consistent dedication reflects the standard of care we strive to provide at McAllen International Airport.”
