Three new members are now on the Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors for the 2019-2020 fiscal year. Robert Donalson of Texas Regional Bank, Alejandra Montenegro of Frost Bank and Omar Rodriguez of Rio Bank all accepted the nominations to serve a three-year term.

Donalson is a loan officer at Texas Regional Bank in Weslaco. He is a graduate of Leadership Mid Valley XI and served on the LMV Steering Board. He is a member of the Weslaco Rotary Club and also serves on the Valley Nature Center Board as treasurer. Donalson is a current member of Leadership RGV, a program of the Rio Grande Valley Partnership.

Montenegro is assistant vice president of Frost at Work/Consumer Banking. Montenegro is chairwoman of the Texas Onion Fest finance committee. She is Weslaco Chamber’s Volunteer of the Year for 2017, and the Texas Festivals and Events Association’s Volunteer of the Year in 2018. Montenegro is a Chamber Ambassador and serves on the Magic Valley Electric Co-Op Nominating Committee. She is co-chair of Frost’s A-Team Volunteer Corps for the RGV and is currently a part of Leadership Mid Valley XV.

Rodriguez is executive vice president and Weslaco Banking Center president at Rio Bank. He is a member of the Weslaco Rotary Club and the South Texas ISD EIC Council. Rodriguez is a graduate of Leadership Mid Valley XII and is currently on the LMV Steering Board. He serves on the Texas Onion Fest committee and is currently on the Weslaco Hotel Occupancy Tax Advisory Committee.
