Brownsville Ranks As a Best City

In a recent City Lab article, Brownsville takes a ranking as one of the Best Cities to Live, Based on Salaries and Cost of Living.

According to an analysis by Indeed job site Chief Economist Jed Kolko, Brownsville is one the cities with the highest adjusted salaries in the United States. Kolko’s data encompasses all 185 United States metros with 250,000 people or more. Brownsville Mayor Trey Mendez praised Brownsville’s quality of life and burgeoning development.

“The adjusted salary rate provides Brownsville residents a higher value in affordable living. Brownsville’s natural beauty, vibrant history and culture, family values and development opportunities make this community one of the best places to live in the United States,” said Mendez. “Combine these factors with the affordability of our educational institutions, the ambition of our residents and the dedication of our city staff, and you get a community on the rise.”
