South Texas College and the Starr County Industrial Foundation are the recipients of $100,000 in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Commerce through the Economic Development Administration’s Technical Assistance Program. The award will develop a Starr County Strategic Plan focusing on workforce and economic development by the year 2025. With a deadline on March 1, the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation invites organizations to apply for its ‘Capital Project Grant 2019 Cycle’ through its website. The grant cycle for capital projects allow the BCIC to partner with organizations that have developed capital projects that will create economic development opportunities within Brownsville city limits.
