BCIC Offers Economic Development Grants

BCICBrownsville Community Improvement Corporation is seeking nonprofit and city partners to partner with to promote economic development. BCIC looks to promote the development through the BCIC Partnership Grants which focus on community development projects.

Both nonprofit organizations and city departments are the focus of the grants. By design, the awards engage in the necessary community development needed to promote economic development opportunities. Through the grants, the BCIC will supplement up to $5,000 towards partners’ marketing efforts of community events as well as initiatives that promote tourism and boost local spending within Brownsville.

The BCIC Partnership Grants applications are open to all nonprofit organizations and city departments through May 30 at 2p.m. All nonprofit organizations and city departments that apply must attend BCIC’s Info-Session May 15 at 10 a.m. Here, they will learn about BCIC’s application policy, mission, strategic goals to promote economic development through community development, and marketing opportunities to promote Brownsville. The session will be held at the Brownsville Public Library, 2600 Central Blvd.
