As the assistant administrator for the Office of Women's Business Ownership, Kathleen McShane is responsible for overseeing Women’s Business Centers throughout the country. These centers offer counseling, training and mentorship to women who want to launch or expand their business. The SBA official also provides advice, assistance and support to promote, coordinate, and monitor the efforts of the federal government to establish, preserve and strengthen women-owned business. Prior to joining the SBA, she was CEO and founder of Ladies Launch Club, a company that provided guidance to women who wanted to launch a business.
