The Brownsville Independent School District’s Food and Nutrition Services Department is now offering free breakfast and lunch meals over the summer. The Seamless Summer Option Program provides nutritious free meals for children ages 0 to 18 and is sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture. Texas is once again eclipsing records for the largest civilian labor force and greatest number of people employed in state history. The state achieved 26 consecutive months of growth in total nonfarm employment in April 2023.
