The Brownsville Independent School District’s Food and Nutrition Services Department is now offering free breakfast and lunch meals over the summer. The Seamless Summer Option Program provides nutritious free meals for children ages 0 to 18 and is sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture.

In order to participate, families only have to find a site during breakfast and/or lunch. Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. and lunch begins at 11:30 a.m., depending on location. Meals must be consumed onsite and children do not have to be Brownsville ISD students to receive a free meal.

Meals are provided at numerous elementary, middle and high schools, as well as early college schools. Non-school sites are also part of the program.

For a full list of locations, dates and times, visit brownsvilleisdschoolnutrition.com. There will be no meal service on July 4.

For more information, contact the Food and Nutrition Serves Department at 956-548-8450.
