MFE Receives $15.6-Million FAA Grant

The McAllen International Airport is the recipient of a $15,679,241 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration. This grant comes from supplemental funding under the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2019. Federal Red Snapper Season Closes Aug. 5

The private recreational angler red snapper season in federal waters will close at 12:01 a.m. Aug. 5. State waters out to nine nautical miles will remain open with a four-fish daily bag limit and a 15-inch minimum. Operation Lone Star returns to San Juan in Hidalgo County beginning today, July 26. The annual week-long emergency preparedness exercise offers a variety of free medical services.
