Turning the tide again beach debris, an Adopt-A-Beach Winter Clean-Up takes place Feb. 5 on South Padre Island. Volunteer registration is open now through the duration of the cleanup. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes, and bring drinking water and gloves. The Dual Enrollment program at Texas Southmost College is introducing three new pathways this spring to the thousands of high school students TSC serves who are working to earn college credits before receiving a high school diploma.  Computer-Aided Drafting Technology, and Industrial Mechanics and Maintenance Technology make up two of the newest offerings. The Brownsville Public Utilities Board will not require standardized test scores such as the SAT and ACT for this year’s Project SHARE Scholarship. The decision reflects admission requirements for this year’s graduating seniors with many schools dropping the SAT/ACT requirement.
