Quinta Mazatlan ILLUMINA Fest is back for five nights from Dec. 13-17 with more than 3,000 luminarias lighting the forest trails.
A half-mile walk through the woods features over 30 light installations highlighting the various winter celebrations including Christmas, Hanukkah, Chinese New Year, Kwanzaa, Diwali and more.
The one-way illuminated trail also guides visitors past light shows, art installations, community performers and holiday treats. The Food Courtyard features many local vendors with spirits and drinks, hot chocolate, kettle corn, spicy candies, elote in a cup, candied pecans, cookies, s’mores and more holiday favorites.
The Main Stage will feature live performances throughout the week. Performers include Palmview High School Folklorico & Mariachi, South Texas Fuzion, McAllen Golden Larks, Indigo Collective and RGV Tuba Christmas. Also performing are RGV Snake Charmers & Hype Squad, Deborah Case Dance Academy, Perez Elementary, 1st Position Dance Studio and Mariachi Nueva Tradicion. Rounding out the offerings are 2C41 Musical Group, Razz Ma Tazz from Nikki Rowe HS, Main Stage Dance Studio, ADS Dance Academy, Viol Consort and more.
